Canadian Scuba Diver Dies at Pike Lake, Minnesota: Investigation Underway

In an unfortunate incident at Pike Lake in Canosia Township, located approximately 11 miles northwest of Duluth, emergency responders were called around 10:20 a.m. to assist a man who had encountered distress while scuba diving. The incident occurred near a dock where the individual, a 31-year-old scuba diver from Alberta, Canada, went underwater shortly after seeking help from his diving partner.

Despite their efforts and immediate life-saving measures, the man tragically succumbed to the situation and was pronounced dead at the scene. In respect for the family, authorities have refrained from releasing his name until family notification has been made.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident to determine the cause of death. As of now, no further information regarding the circumstances leading to the incident has been disclosed. The community and authorities are deeply saddened by this loss, and the investigation aims to shed light on the tragic event.
