This weekend the Go Diving Show hit the NAEC Stoneleigh. The third year we have attended and by far the best so far we are thrilled to report.
The event opened promptly with lines of event goers eager to get inside to catch holiday deals, watch talks, take part in workshops and try dives in the pop up pool.

We arrived with our baby in tow, strolling around the halls with a pushchair, warmly met and greeted by stall holders and event organisers happy to support with rest stops, seats and treats for our little one.
We started off by taking part in the breath hold workshops with Marcus Greatwood and his team. A really useful workshop focusing on mental focus, controlling your breath, reducing O2 consumption and utilising your diaphragm.

Competition entering time was upon us and we signed up for everything that we passed in the hope that we may win a spectacular month dive trip to the Wakatobi or Mexico. Possibly more likely to win a PADI lanyard or badge from BSAC we continued in hope. Fingers crossed.
It was time to check out some new equipment and diving in the learner pool and so Sam kitted up to give side mount a try. A really helpful team with a fluid taster and very knowledgeable Instructors. A big thanks to the team on the RAID stand.

We tuned into some spectacular talks from the likes of Andy Torbet, Monty Halls, Steve Backshall and Dawn Kernagis. We even managed to spot the ever so famous big hair of Garry Dallas flowing around the venue although sadly we didn’t manage to catch up with him. If you know him you know. A very clever, professional and high level technical diver who you can learn a thing or two from.
The exhibitors lined the halls offering trip deals, discounts on dive kit and equipment, conservation updates and advice and much, much more. We spotted a few personal favourites including The British Virgin Islands, British Divers Marine Life Rescue and Dive Force. A pleasure to see them all back this year.

This event is designed for scuba enthusiasts and really meets the needs of most divers at various levels from novice training to professional status with an aim to just explore more, to go further and to literally dive in.
Another fantastic year. A huge thanks to everyone who took part and to those who organised it. See you next year!
