The new Madagascar Aggressor will accommodate 24 guests and explore the reefs and remote archipelagos surrounding Nosy Be, with its first departure scheduled for 6 June 2027.
Aggressor Adventures has confirmed plans to launch a new liveaboard diving operation in Madagascar, with the Madagascar Aggressor scheduled to welcome its first guests on 6 June 2027.
The announcement, made during DEMA Show 2026 in New Orleans, marks the company’s latest expansion into the Indian Ocean and introduces a new liveaboard option for divers seeking to explore the remote reefs, islands and marine ecosystems of northwestern Madagascar.
Operating around Nosy Be and the surrounding archipelagos, the new vessel will accommodate up to 24 guests in 12 staterooms spread across three decks.
According to the official Aggressor announcement, the vessel will feature indoor and outdoor communal areas, a sun deck and a hot tub.
Opening Up Northwestern Madagascar
Located off Madagascar’s northwestern coast, Nosy Be provides access to an extensive range of diving environments, including coral gardens, pinnacles, drop-offs, gorgonian-covered reefs, arches and wrecks.
The surrounding waters support a diverse collection of marine species, from reef sharks, rays and sea turtles to large schools of barracuda, jacks, fusiliers and other tropical fish.
For underwater photographers, the region also offers opportunities to encounter smaller marine life, including nudibranchs, scorpionfish, leaf fish, moray eels, octopus and crocodilefish.
The introduction of the Madagascar Aggressor will give the international diving market another liveaboard option in a region where remote island exploration and marine biodiversity are central attractions.
Rather than concentrating exclusively on established dive sites around Nosy Be, the planned operation will explore the wider archipelagos of northwestern Madagascar.

Whale Sharks, Humpback Whales and Seasonal Diving
One of Madagascar’s principal diving attractions is the changing pattern of marine life throughout the year.
Between April and June, reef diving offers opportunities to encounter turtles, rays, schooling fish and occasionally manta rays.
From July through September, migrating humpback whales are among the region’s seasonal attractions. Guests may have opportunities to observe the animals from the liveaboard or its tenders, while divers may occasionally hear whale songs underwater.
Later in the year, attention turns to whale sharks.
The waters surrounding Nosy Be are known for seasonal whale shark encounters between September and December, with October and November generally regarded as particularly favourable months.
Manta rays and mobula rays may also be encountered during this period.
As with any wildlife-focused diving destination, sightings depend on environmental conditions and animal movements, and encounters cannot be guaranteed.
A New 24-Guest Liveaboard
The Madagascar Aggressor is being introduced as a 24-guest vessel with 12 staterooms distributed across three decks.
Onboard facilities announced so far include spacious indoor and outdoor gathering areas and a sun deck with a hot tub.
The company has said that additional operational details will be released as preparations continue.
Jay Roberts, CEO of Aggressor Adventures, described Madagascar as a destination that reflects the company’s focus on exploring remote and distinctive marine environments.
The launch will add Madagascar to an international portfolio that already includes liveaboard diving destinations across the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, Pacific, Caribbean and Central America.
June 2027 Launch and Introductory Offer
The first Madagascar Aggressor departure is scheduled for 6 June 2027, with reservations already being promoted through Aggressor Adventures.
To mark the launch, the company has announced an introductory saving of $500 on eligible Madagascar Aggressor departures.
According to the official Aggressor Adventures special offers page, the promotion applies to bookings made between 3 November and 31 December 2026 for qualifying travel between 6 June and 3 October 2027.
The offer is subject to the operator’s terms and availability.
Further details about the vessel, individual itineraries and diving operations are expected to be published as the launch approaches.
For divers considering Madagascar in 2027, the new operation will introduce another way to experience the reefs and remote islands of the country’s northwestern coastline.
