The Mk2i now supports the most advanced version of air integration the SCUBA world has ever experienced. Garmin has incorporated its incredible sonar technology into the mix and called it SUBWAVE.

Other dive computer brands use the standard VHF radio format meaning range is a mere 1m/3ft between dive computer and tank pod – the technology in Subwave means the range between dive computer and tank pod is now an incredible 5-8 metres!

The operating system on the Descent Mk2 and Mk2i matches that found in the market-leading Garmin Fenix 6, making the Mk2 range undoubtedly the greatest dive computer we have ever had the chance to get our hands on!

  1. I bought this computer. Unfortunately, as a diving gear it is completely useless. It does not signal the safety stop, bottom time, decompression stops. I reported it to GARMIN, and they thought it might be defective. The new one unfortunately did not show those functions either. I think it’s a bug in the software. I do not recommend it – you can get yourself in trouble diving with this device and relying on its indications. Eventually I returned it to the seller and I am waiting for a refund. I will never trust GARMIN again
