Aqaba Blue Ocean Future in Action (ABOFA) has been postponed from September 2026 to March 2027, with organisers now confirming the event will take place from 16–19 March 2027 in Aqaba, Jordan.
The event was originally scheduled for 9–12 September 2026, but the official ABOFA website now confirms the revised March 2027 dates.
ABOFA is being positioned as a major event focused on the blue economy, bringing together organisations and businesses connected with marine tourism, diving, conservation and other ocean-related sectors.
The event will be held at the Aqaba International Exhibition Centre, with the organisers describing ABOFA as a platform intended to connect the region’s blue-economy sectors with international businesses, organisations and professionals.
The original September dates had been independently promoted by organisations including PADI, while Jordan’s official Petra news agency also announced the event as taking place in Aqaba from 9–12 September 2026.
Following the postponement, the official ABOFA website has now been updated to identify the event as Aqaba Blue 2027, with the new dates confirmed as 16–19 March 2027.
DIVE Magazine has also reported the postponement, noting that the event had attracted exhibitors and organisations from more than 25 countries.
At this stage, the organisers’ publicly available information confirms the change of dates, but does not provide a verified explanation for why the September event was postponed.
For divers and businesses planning to attend, the key change is therefore the move from September 2026 to March 2027.
Further information and event updates are available through the official ABOFA website.
New dates: 16–19 March 2027
