Ten-year-old is UK’s youngest scuba diver

The Pontefract and Castleford Express is reporting that waterbaby Kai Slatter has become the UK’s youngest open water diver after passing his exam aged just ten years and two days.

Kai, of Maple Avenue, Pontefract, completed his underwater diving training as soon as he turned ten on July 28, passing on July 30. He had been studying for the exam for a couple of months before his birthday.
