SSI Training Centers Rave About the 2024 SSI Dealer Summits

Representatives from SSI have spent the last two and a half months conducting their annual SSI Dealer Summits. These summits bring dealers together to discuss ways to improve business and interact with each other. SSI wrapped up its last Dealer Summit this past weekend and is hearing nothing but great things from store owners and managers who attended.

“After attending this year’s SSI Dealer Summit, the Lynnhaven Dive Center staff has a newfound appreciation for our Training Agency, SSI, as they aid in protecting us as Instructors and Training Centers. The Active Learning Sessions put together by the SSI staff at the Dealer Summit allowed our LDC staff to gain a better understanding of our student records and the role they play in Risk Management. As a dive center owner, I love that SSI gives us clear guidelines to implement prudent judgment and take actionable steps to make diving a safer activity,” shares Captain Jerry Nichols, Lynnhaven Dive Center Training Director.

Over the last two months, SSI conducted five Dealer Summits and Pro Updates across the United States. This year’s Summits focused on Risk Management and featured guest speaker Attorney Craig Jenni. Through interactive presentations and workshops, SSI dealers assessed their store’s approach to risk management, reviewed best practices, and learned effective implementation procedures. SSI utilized a hands-on approach to this year’s summits, facilitating an interactive and dynamic way to disseminate information. Attendees thoroughly enjoyed the interactive dialogue and engaging content.

Scott Taylor, co-owner of A-1 Scuba, shares that “attending this year’s Summit was well worth the investment of time, energy, and money. The SSI presenters were outstanding! Their level of knowledge and desire to share it with others was very impressive and greatly appreciated. I took copious notes, which included some great advice, valuable suggestions, and beneficial tips – things I was able to quickly apply in my business and share with our crew. I’m certain my fellow pros attending the Summit were equally appreciative. I’ve come to find myself anxiously looking forward to the annual Summit. Well done, everyone!”

SSI is committed to finding new, innovative ways to help its dealers improve their business and increase their bottom line. By incorporating more active learning sessions into their business model, SSI is seeing more and more dealers implement what they are learning into their business model and increase their engagement with customers both in-person and online.

“I was blown away by the content and new format of this year’s SSI Dealer Summit. It was engaging; full of Active Learning Sessions that enhanced the content and encouraged networking. The Pre-Prep assignments SSI asked us to do added to the effectiveness of the program,” states Pat Dunn, Scuba Program Director, Diventures.
