“Faro Luna Diving Center” is pleased to announce that it will once again host the international underwater photography contest Fotosub 2021 from November 27 to December 1st.  This will also mark the return to operation after more than a year of difficult times for the diving industry, in which we have operated intermittently and the pandemic has forced separation from our customers and friends.

This year’s event is dedicated to Cuba and Canada, and will be organized in a unique way.  As well as the usual categories for the individual competitor, there will also be teams from these two countries making the contest more fun.  Fotosub is a celebration of recreational diving and underwater photography, where old friends are reunited, and new friendships are made with that ease that we divers have to treat each other as if we knew each other all of our lives from the moment we meet.  While the competition includes experienced photographers and models, Fotosub 2021 is very inclusive and also offers beginners and amateurs the opportunity to participate in categories such as action camera photography.  If you are not a photographer you can participate as a diver, sharing this celebration and good times. There is also space and activities for our non-diver family and friends for which we have prepared various options and programs.  This year we want you all here to make a memorable celebration.

For those who can accompany us one more day we will offer a special 2 tank dive trip to Banco de Jagua.  This unique excursion is about 26 miles from our coast where a huge rock formation of 6 square miles stands and allows fantastic dives from 25 to 120 feet.

We would like to thank our usual sponsors: The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cuba, Marlin, ACUC Latin America, Greater Caribbean and Havana Club, and we also welcome our new and enthusiastic sponsors: ScubaCuba.ca our main diving distributor in Canada, Hola sun the specialist of Cuba and Sea Trident the distributor of diving equipment and technologies.
