Long before adaptive diving became widely recognised within the scuba community, Diveheart was already changing lives underwater.
In 2012, public television documentary filmmakers from Turning Point travelled across the United States and to Cozumel to capture the full Diveheart story, following veterans, families, and individuals living with disabilities as they discovered freedom, confidence, and healing through scuba diving.
At The Scuba News, we are incredibly proud to support the work Diveheart continues to do within the diving community and beyond. This documentary remains one of the most powerful looks at where it all began, showing not just the organisation’s mission, but the human impact behind it.
If you have ever wondered how adaptive diving grew into the global movement it is today, this is the perfect place to start.
Watch the video and experience the story that helped define Diveheart’s journey.
