Learn the art of historic material preservation for buildings & boats through an informative, hands-on workshop hosted by Sage Restoration at The Great Lakes Museum. Tour the S.S Keewatin, explore the challenges of preserving the steamship, and practice applying varnish to the Tall Ship’s wooden spars!
A primer on heritage materials – Heritage windows: material & maintenance Paint & Paint removal – Visit the Keewatin & Explore heritage preservation of museum ships – Varnish preparation & application – Linseed Oil & Pine Tar in the marine environment.
$75/pp ($25 + $50 receiptable donation to TSEC – Brigantine).
