Exclusively available to students currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program, the scholarship aims to support the next generation of leaders in diving, ocean exploration, marine conservation, hyperbaric medical research, and underwater technology.
The award includes a $6,000 scholarship and a $500 travel voucher to assist with attendance at the formal presentation ceremony, which will take place during the 64th Annual NOGI Awards Banquet. This event is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida, in conjunction with the DEMA Show. About the Scholarship
Named in honor of Zale Parry—pioneering diver, ocean ambassador, and the Academy’s Ambassador at Large—the scholarship was established in 2006 to reflect her enduring legacy and commitment to advancing the underwater arts and sciences. Each year, the AUAS selects an outstanding student diver who exemplifies both academic achievement and a passion for underwater exploration and innovation.
Applicants may be engaged in university-level studies or accredited field work related to the underwater world, including areas such as marine conservation, diving medicine, and equipment development.
