There are plenty of exciting activities to enjoy at The Aquatarium, such as exploring interactive exhibits, getting hands-on with marine life, and taking a historic virtual reality ride through the Thousand Islands.

The Power of Water

Sea to Sky

In this interactive learning exploration for kids, discover how the waters of the St. Lawrence River have shaped the world around us. Water can be used for much more than just drinking! Discover some of the amazing things the waters of the St. Lawrence River can do in our Power of Water experience.

Did you know that Montreal, Ottawa, and Brockville were all underwater over 10,000 years ago? That’s correct! These cities, which now house millions of people, were once home to whales, seals, and other sea creatures. Create Experience at the 1000 Islands Aquatarium.

Travel back in time to a forgotten era of battles, forts, and shipwrecks: some of the 1000 Islands’ most historically significant attractions. In the Captain’s Quarters of the British warship and pride of the 1000 Islands, HMS Ontario, you can sail back in time and take the wheel of history. Explore a time of battles, forts, and shipbuilding by entering the reconstructed Captain’s Cabin. The cabin is designed to resemble an authentic 18th century warship.
