Zeagle Sport BCD’s, manufactured in Vietnam and distributed by Huish Outdoors have been recalled for a hazard with the buttons on the BCD. Other models included in this recall are the Sport Base, Sport Resort, Sport Base Plus, Sport Resort Plus, and Sport Focus all Zeagle products. The problem is that the buttons on the inflators can break or fracture leading to a rapid loss of air or auto-inflation of the BCD, posing a drowning hazard to scuba divers.
Divers should immediately stop using the recalled BCDs and contact Zeagle for instructions on how to receive a free replacement. Serial numbers of BCD’s affected can be found on the inside of the BCD pocket and are listed below.
