It is being widely reported in the Spanish and Italian media that Israel Franco Moreno, from La Coruña, Spain has died while working on the massive salvage operation of the Costa Concordia which hit rocks two years ago off the holiday island of Giglio, Italy.
It is believed that he cut himself on sheet metal 10feet underwater (approx 3m) and bled to death. We will keep you updated if more information is available but our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this time.
