This February on CBC, The Nature of Things returns with a new episode, The Berg. Available to stream beginning Thursday, February 26, and airing that night at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT) on CBC TV.
In The Berg, viewers journey alongside one remarkable iceberg as it breaks free from the Eqi Glacier in southwestern Greenland and drifts toward Canada’s east coast. Guided by host Sarika Cullis-Suzuki and acclaimed underwater explorer Jill Heinerth, the documentary offers breathtaking perspectives from land, sky, and sea. Along the way, it reveals the thriving ecosystems that form around icebergs and the challenges they create for ships navigating nearby waters.
OceanQuest Adventures, Rick, Johnny and Jason headed the logistics for the shoot and Nick Hawkins was the cinematographer.
