The MSY Seahorse is a Pinisi-rigged Sulawesi schooner offering liveaboard charters to East Indonesia. Built in 2004 and completely refurbished in 2018, the Seahorse offers a level of luxury and safety not found on many liveaboard dive charter sailing yachts in Indonesia. At 33-meters long and 8.5-meters wide, the Seahorse is a majestic and spacious vessel, accommodating up to 16 divers, 12 crew, and 4 dive masters. The ship offers small group dives 4:1. All of the cabins are airconditioned and have ensuite bathrooms. The classic beauty of the Seahorse combines traditional craftsmanship with modern conveniences and safety features, providing comfort in the remotest waters of Indonesia.

Normally 4 dives a day are offered with each dive site checked for currents assuring safe conditions.

Sea to Sky

The dive day starts with breakfast of fresh fruit juices, toast, coffee/tea, cereals and eggs any style. Full breakfast is served after the first morning dive. Lunch is served after the second dive and a quick afternoon siesta. The food-dive-food routine follows after the third dive of the day, after which you can enjoy a lazy late-afternoon on the sundeck, lounging back and soaking in the wonderful landscape with a cup of coffee or tea and some snacks. Dinner is prepared after the night dive. Hailing from a long tradition of big family homecooked meals in Spain, the crew takes pride in offering delicious menus carefully selected by the professional chef on board. After dinner, enjoy a glass of wine, watching the stars and then a well-deserved sleep. The 6 standard double cabins have two single beds, and the 2 deluxe cabins have a queen bed, desk, TV and DVD player.

MISOOL

Misool is excellent for taking wide angle shots, encounters with mantas, and massive schools of fish. The under- water topography is predominantly rocky with ridges and rock formations. The colorful reefs display an abundance of soft corals and huge gorgonians. Macro subjects are plenty as well: pygmy seahorses, tiny crabs, nudibranchs, and other rare photogenic life are everywhere.

FAM – PENEMU

We spend one day on these islands between the North and the South area. The dives include the site “Melissa garden” which has the best coral garden of the Raja Ampat and “My reef” well known for its barracuda school and numerous Wobbegongs.

THE NORTH

The iconic Wayag lagoons composed of hundreds of rocky quartz limestone islets, are a marvel to explore with dinghies or onboard kayaks. We also recommend a short hike to a summit to admire the surrounding areas. Mantas and black tip sharks are swimming around. Kawe island has some of the finest diving in the area, with a good population of fish and regular manta encounters. The Aljui bay, a 20 kilometres long indentation, provides some of the best Raja Ampat’s macro dive site locations.

DAMPIER STRAIT

We usually spend one or two days there to visit its famous dive sites around Kri with their impressive amount of fish.

Jan 26 to Feb 7, 2024 – 12 nights – 2 remaining cabins

Our mantra is "eat, sleep, dive." Although we call our planet Earth, it is a water planet, with approximately 80% of the planet being covered by oceans. Is a dive traveler's passion unusual? Well with our bodies made up of about 80% water, it is no coincidence our hearts beat with the surge of the waves.
