Registration is Open for the 28th AIDA World Championship

It’s time to get in the pool. Registration for the AIDA Pool World Championship Burgas 2022 is now open to all interested athletes. The registration fee is 500€ ($691.40 Canadian) per athlete.

The competition will take place at the Park Arena OZK, the most modern swimming pool in Bulgaria with a consistent temperature of 26C.

Accommodation is available 2.4km from the venue at the Hotel Avenue. Attendees can choose between 3- and 4-star room options in a single, double, or triple. A shuttle departs every half hour to transport athletes and staff between the hotel and the pool on all competition and training days.  

Dive Conditions

“Park Arena OZK” was opened in 2018 and is the most modern swimming pool in Bulgaria, approved for international competitions by FINA and LEN. The pool offers excellent conditions for pool freediving disciplines and has a capacity of 1200 spectators.

Water temperature will be constant during the whole world championship – around 26 °C (it’s an indoor pool, water temperature is independent of weather conditions). Pool length is 50 meters, width 25 meters, and it has 10 lanes. Depth of the pool is 2 meters on one side, and 3 meters on the other.
