‘Jaws’ Movie To Be Screened at Shark-Con

SharkCon and Tampa Theatre have come together to offer a showing of the movie JAWS at SharkCon! Tampa Theatre is just s couple of miles from the Convention Center. On May 3, 2014 at 10 pm. they will be showing the movie JAWS for SharkCon attendees. I know this is the infamous movie that began to vilify sharks, but I also know it was that same movie that started many a marine biologist on their fascination with sharks.

Built in 1926 as one of America’s most elaborate “movie palaces,” the Tampa Theatre today is a fiercely protected and generously supported landmark. Designed by famed theater architect John Eberson, the Tampa is a superior example of the “atmospheric” style of theater design. Inside Tampa Theatre, audiences are transported to a lavish, romantic Mediterranean courtyard replete with old-world statuary, flowers and gargoyles. Over it all is a nighttime sky filled with twinkling stars.
