Ocean Week Canada is a yearly nationwide celebration that takes place during the week of World Ocean Day (June 8). It features a wide variety of events aimed at promoting ocean education, awareness, and stewardship.
The week brings together people from all walks of life—community members, organizations, government bodies, artists, and others—to highlight the importance of our connection to the ocean and the need to protect it. Activities during Ocean Week Canada often include shoreline cleanups, hands-on workshops, public talks, film viewings, interactive art displays, and opportunities to try paddling or surfing, among other engaging experiences.
