ISC DIVER Wants to Be the One App Divers Never Need to Leave

Most training apps become irrelevant once the course is finished. ISC DIVER is designed to remain useful from a diver’s first theory lesson to their hundredth logged dive – and beyond.

Available on iPhone, Android and the web, the app supports 46 scuba, freediving and snorkelling courses, more than 7,000 mapped dive sites, over 1,900 marine species and 15 languages. Crucially for real-world diving, its principal training functions work offline.

Learn anywhere

Students can access interactive theory, knowledge reviews, quizzes and examinations, course resources, practical-skill records, documents and dive logs from one screen. Courses can be downloaded and completed wherever a reliable signal is unavailable.

Progress is clear and immediate. Each course component displays its status and directs the student to the next requirement.

Medical questionnaires and liability releases, supporting documents and parent or guardian acknowledgements can also be completed digitally before training begins – reducing paperwork and helping instructors identify anything outstanding before students enter the water.

Quality control that happens before certification

ISC DIVER supports professional judgement rather than replacing it. The app records the instructor’s decisions; it does not make those decisions.

Students must complete their course quizzes before accessing the final examination. Even when they pass, every incorrect answer must still be reviewed and counselled. Missed questions are grouped by topic, allowing an instructor to reteach the students who need help while creating a clear record of who received the counselling.

Practical skills carry both the instructor’s sign-off and the student’s acknowledgement. Certification only becomes available when the required medical, waiver, theory, examination, counselling, skills, documents and dives are complete. If a requirement is missing, the app identifies it and prevents premature certification.

This is proactive quality assurance – not a survey sent after the course has ended.

A logbook with real value

The lifelong digital logbook records depth, bottom time, gas, conditions, visibility, water temperature, buddies, operators, photographs and marine-life sightings.

Dives can be imported by Bluetooth from more than 100 compatible dive-computer models, including Shearwater, Mares, Scubapro and Suunto, preserving profiles, temperatures and available sample data.

Divers can also ask the named dive centre to verify that a logged dive actually took place. Even non-ISC centres can respond to a verification request. This helps create a credible record of experience when visiting a new operator, continuing training or demonstrating recent diving activity.

Instructors can share a pre-filled training dive with an entire class. Each student chooses whether to accept it into their personal logbook – because it remains the diver’s record, not the instructor’s.

Explore before you dive

ISC DIVER turns real logged dives into useful site information. Dive-site pages can display typical visibility and water temperature, live wind, swell and tide information, seven-day forecasts, monthly trends, recent dives and marine-life sightings.

Divers and centres can post current site reports directly from their phones. Worldwide mapping, 3D terrain and species tracking make the logbook more than a personal archive: it becomes a source of shared dive intelligence.

Stay connected

The community feed is only about diving. Users can follow buddies, instructors, dive centres, sites and marine species while sharing dives, photographs, reports and certification milestones.

Profiles can be public, followers-only or private. Course groups can create shared photo albums, while Dive Wrap turns a completed course into a personalised highlight video that students can share.

Built for dive professionals

Instructors and centres can manage schedules, rosters, paperwork, examinations, counselling, skill sign-offs, training dives and certifications from one system. Student progress is visible at a glance, complete records can be produced as PDFs, and course content can be presented on a larger classroom screen.

Courses or selected student records can be downloaded before leaving the centre, allowing essential training administration to continue offline and synchronise later.

ISC combines these tools with objective-led training, free digital student materials, month-end certification billing and proactive online quality control.
