MyDivePod Launches a New Era of Liveaboard Diving with Expert-Led Group Adventures

    My Dive Pod

A new platform is aiming to redefine what a liveaboard holiday can be by placing people, not just destinations, at the heart of the experience.

MyDivePod has officially launched bookings for its first season of curated liveaboard adventures while simultaneously opening applications for its exclusive Founding Guide programme. The platform introduces a fresh concept for dive travel, bringing together exceptional diving with experts, educators and inspiring personalities who create experiences that extend well beyond time spent underwater.

Rather than simply booking a cabin on a liveaboard, divers can now join carefully curated group trips known as Pods. At the centre of every Epic Pod is a named organiser whose expertise, profession or life experience shapes the week, creating an experience that combines world-class diving with meaningful learning and shared interests.

Whether that passion is marine biology, photography, coaching, food, science or something completely different, every trip is designed around the idea that the people you travel with can become just as memorable as the diving itself.

    My Dive Pod

    Three Extraordinary Adventures Already Open

MyDivePod’s inaugural collection of trips demonstrates just how varied the Epic Pod concept can be.

    Maldives, May 2027

A personal development and relationship coach will lead divers through one of the world’s most celebrated diving destinations. Alongside spectacular underwater encounters, guests will take part in daily sessions focused on self-awareness, stronger group connections and developing presence both underwater and throughout the journey.

    South Africa’s Sardine Run

One of the world’s greatest marine wildlife events becomes even more immersive under the guidance of a shark behaviour expert. Participants will not only witness one of nature’s most spectacular feeding events but also gain a deeper understanding of apex predator behaviour through expert-led discussions between dives.

    Galápagos, 2028

In one of the planet’s most biodiverse marine environments, an internationally recognised spirits authority featured in industry publications and reference guides will guide guests through tastings exploring the production, history and heritage of tequila, gin and wine, adding a unique cultural dimension to an unforgettable diving expedition.

A New Way to Experience Liveaboards

Borja Burguillos, Co-founder of MyDivePod, believes the liveaboard environment is perfectly suited to this type of experience.

“The liveaboard has always been an extraordinary venue. Self-selected group, no distractions, a week with nowhere else to be. We are the first platform built specifically to put the right person at the centre of that experience and make it easy for anyone with something worth sharing to run a trip.”

By combining exceptional diving with expert knowledge, personal development or specialist interests, MyDivePod aims to create journeys where learning continues long after divers leave the water.

Applications Now Open for Founding Guides

Alongside the launch of its booking platform, MyDivePod is inviting applications for its inaugural Founding Guide programme.

The first cohort is limited to just 20 organisers, with three positions already filled and 17 places remaining.

    Founding Guides will receive:

    • The platform’s highest long-term commission rate
    • Permanent Founding Guide recognition
    • Priority access to MyDivePod’s operator inventory throughout its first year

Importantly, applicants do not need to be dive professionals.

MyDivePod is seeking individuals with expertise or experiences that others would value spending a week learning from. This could include underwater photographers, marine scientists, coaches, chefs, writers, naturalists and other specialists with compelling knowledge or stories to share.

    My Dive Pod

    Extensive Global Liveaboard Network

The platform launches with access to more than 118 liveaboard vessels across many of the world’s premier dive destinations, including:

    • Maldives
    • Red Sea
    • South Africa
    • Indo-Pacific
    • Galápagos

Launch partners already include respected operators such as Aggressor Fleet and Master Fleet, giving travellers access to a broad selection of established liveaboard experiences.

    My Dive Pod

    Traditional Liveaboard Bookings Also Available

Divers who simply want to book a standard liveaboard holiday can also use MyDivePod’s booking platform without joining a curated group experience. Loyalty benefits are available on every confirmed reservation, offering additional value regardless of how divers choose to travel.

    About MyDivePod

MyDivePod is a liveaboard dive travel marketplace connecting divers with curated group trips led by experts, creatives and remarkable individuals from both within and beyond the diving community.

The platform operates through Ithela FZ LLC, registered in the Fujairah Creative City Free Zone, UAE.
