Acclaimed cinematographer, Tommy Jackson, has joined the production team of the upcoming feature film Sharing Air, a motion picture centered on human resilience, trust, and connection.

Sharing Air is inspired by the life-changing work of Diveheart, the internationally respected nonprofit organization that empowers people with disabilities through adaptive scuba diving and related programs. The film explores how shared vulnerability and teamwork can become pathways to healing and transformation.
Tommy Jackson will serve as Director of Photography, shaping the visual language and cinematic identity of the film. He is joined by longtime creative collaborator Ivana Cipurko, who will serve as Second Camera Operator and Gaffer, overseeing lighting design and camera support to help realize the film’s emotional and visual depth.
“While researching filmmakers in the Chicago area, I came across Tommy Jackson’s work and was immediately blown away,” said David Marsh, writer, director, and producer of Sharing Air. “Tommy is a true filmmaker, someone who writes, directs, lights, records sound, edits, and fully shepherds his projects from concept through post-production. He and his creative partner and producer, Ivana Cipurko, operate at an incredibly high level creatively and professionally.
A few days later, I found myself on a Zoom call with the two of them and was once again impressed by their clarity, enthusiasm, and focus. Sharing Air calls for a small, agile, deeply talented crew, and this partnership feels perfectly aligned. There’s a shared passion and a laser-focused commitment to telling this story the right way.”
“Being trusted to visually tell a story that aligns so closely with Diveheart’s mission is an honor,” said Jackson. “Our goal is to translate the emotional truth of these experiences into images that feel honest, grounded, and powerful.”
Tommy and Ivana joined Sharing Air Executive Producer Jim Elliott at the Oak Lawn H.S. pool recently with the Chicago area cast and crew of the film for pre-production planning and facility orientation. “ I was impressed how Tommy and Ivana jelled with the rest of the Sharing Air team, like family. Their an awesome addition to the project.” Elliott added.
