Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, has confirmed that survivors from the presumed sinking of the tourist vessel Sea Story have been located in the Al-Ghadeer area of Wadi El-Gamal. Intensive search operations are continuing in collaboration with the Navy and Armed Forces to locate all individuals involved in the incident.

A search and rescue aircraft successfully transported some survivors to receive necessary medical care, while others remain secured at the site awaiting evacuation by the Al-Fateh frigate, which is en route to transport them to safety.

Governor Hanafi emphasized that the governorate is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining round-the-clock coordination as aircraft and naval units continue searching for the remaining missing individuals. He praised the efforts of all teams participating in the rescue operation and reiterated that ensuring everyone’s safety remains the highest priority.

The Red Sea Governorate has urged citizens to comply with directives and avoid the accident area. Updates will be shared as new developments arise.
