A woman encountered serious complications after resurfacing from a scuba diving session in the Homestead Crater and passed away on Tuesday evening, as reported by the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office.
The 43-year-old received prompt CPR around 6:30 p.m. and was airlifted to a local hospital, where she was later declared dead, according to authorities.
“Our condolences go out to the family and friends impacted by this tragedy,” stated the sheriff’s office.
The official cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
