Diver Pronounced Dead at La Jolla Cove

On the morning of September 3, a diver was discovered unresponsive at La Jolla Cove, and subsequent resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, as confirmed by witnesses. This incident marks the latest in a series of similar occurrences within the past four months at the popular diving location.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on September 3, lifeguards received notification that fellow divers had found an individual in the water at La Jolla Cove who was not breathing. San Diego city spokeswoman Monica Muñoz confirmed the recovery of the diver from the water and reported that the San Diego Police Department was alerted to the situation. However, no further details were provided regarding the incident.
