Could BOOT Düsseldorf 2022 Be Cancelled? German Government Decision Suggests So

According to a German Governmental decision late on Wednesday 29th December, all trade shows in January are to be prohibited.

In response to the Omnicron COVID-19 variant, the German Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann, announced that the Corona Protection Ordinance applies to large public fairs with usually more than 750 at the same time, which would clearly leave BOOT Düsseldorf 2022, which was scheduled to run 22nd to 30th January affected.

In a statement, the minister stated, “It is only logical that in January there are no major public fairs with many visitors from different regions and countries from all over the world”.

Whilst we have not received any official notice from the organisers of BOOT Düsseldorf 2022, the news does not look good for the show, which was affected, along with other major events in 2021.
