Yes, it is that time of year again! As we get closer to Christmas it is time for the Scuba Santas!
Scuba Santas is organised by Lloyd Watkin (who founded Scuba Santas with others from Yorkshire Divers) with help from diving medicine charity DDRC Healthcare. Each year around Christmas time we dress up in Santa costumes to raise money for charity.
In 2007 we raised a few hundred pounds for the RNLI with 8 participating Santas, a Viking, a snowman, and a fairy! We’ve now raised over £20,000 and motivated people to start similar events all over the world since. Our event is now held each year at an inland dive site called National Diving and Activity Centre near Chepstow.
