Scuba Schools International (SSI) is bringing a little New Orleans nightlife to DEMA Show 2026, with an evening networking event designed to give dive professionals an opportunity to unwind after a busy day on the exhibition floor.
The SSI Speakeasy will take place from 3–5 November, between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, at HEAD Watersports booth 1629, transforming part of the exhibition space into a New Orleans-inspired gathering place for SSI Dive Centers, SSI Professionals and invited guests.
Rather than another formal presentation or scheduled business meeting, the initiative is intended to provide a relaxed setting for members of the diving industry to reconnect with colleagues, meet fellow professionals and spend time with representatives from SSI and HEAD Watersports.
A Touch of New Orleans at DEMA
The Speakeasy will feature a dedicated entrance, bartender service, music, games and a Mardi Gras-inspired photo area, reflecting the atmosphere of this year’s host city.
According to HEAD Watersports, the evening gathering will include an open bar and opportunities for informal networking, without the presentations or appointments that typically dominate a busy trade show schedule.
The concept is straightforward: bring members of the dive community together at the end of the day in a more relaxed environment.
How to Access the SSI Speakeasy
Access will be managed through dedicated SSI Speakeasy bracelets.
SSI Dive Centers, Professionals and other eligible members of the HEAD Watersports community are encouraged to contact their SSI or equipment sales representative during the show to arrange access.
The sessions are scheduled for:
- Tuesday 3 November: 5:00–6:00 PM
- Wednesday 4 November: 5:00–6:00 PM
- Thursday 5 November: 5:00–6:00 PM
- Location: HEAD Watersports, booth 1629
The gatherings coincide with the final hour of the exhibition floor’s opening schedule on each of the three days.
DEMA Show Returns to New Orleans
DEMA Show 2026 takes place from 3–6 November at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, bringing together diving equipment manufacturers, training agencies, retailers, travel operators and other businesses from across the international diving industry.
For SSI and HEAD Watersports, the Speakeasy adds an informal networking opportunity to the programme of industry meetings, educational sessions and product presentations taking place throughout the exhibition.
