DIVEVOLK has been named a finalist for the 2026 Boot Dive Innovation Award, with public voting now open ahead of the award presentation at boot Düsseldorf.
The nomination recognises SeaLink, DIVEVOLK’s flagship underwater smartphone housing, which has gained attention for allowing full touchscreen control of a standard smartphone at depth. Unlike many housings that rely on external buttons or limited functions, SeaLink uses a patented membrane system that enables divers to operate their phone normally underwater, including camera controls, apps, and settings.
The Boot Dive Innovation Award is one of the diving industry’s most closely watched honours, highlighting products that bring meaningful advances in safety, accessibility, and underwater experience. Finalists are selected by a panel of industry experts, with the ultimate winner decided through a public vote, giving divers and water sports enthusiasts a direct say in the outcome.
DIVEVOLK’s SeaLink has been positioned as a tool that lowers the barrier to underwater photography and video, particularly for recreational divers and content creators who prefer to use the smartphone already in their pocket rather than investing immediately in a dedicated camera system. Its compatibility with a wide range of smartphones and its emphasis on intuitive use have helped it stand out in a crowded accessories market.
Public voting for the 2026 award is now underway and will remain open until the closing date set by boot Düsseldorf, with the winner to be announced during the show. For DIVEVOLK, a win would mark a significant endorsement from the global diving community, reinforcing the growing role of smartphone-based technology in modern scuba diving.
