From its humble beginnings, Dive BVI initially focused on offering top tier diving experiences, showcasing the rich biodiversity of the BVI underwater world. As time passed, the company expanded its offerings, providing snorkel trips, exciting day trips, eco tours, and custom boat charters, all while continuing to emphasize sustainable and responsible practices that protect the area’s fragile ecosystems.
One of the defining moments in Dive BVI’s journey was its commitment to dive education. The company became a certified PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) training center in 1980, offering courses for all levels of divers, from beginners to instructors. In 2011, Dive BVI became an SSI (Scuba Schools International) Instructor Training Center – the first one in the northern Caribbean. Dive BVI has hosted CCR Instructor Clinics, Freediving Instructor programs, and even Mermaid courses! This dedication to dive education has helped nurture a deep love for the sea in countless visitors, many of whom return year after year to explore the stunning waters of the BVI. Dive BVI also presents Marine Ecology programs in local schools to help spark the next generation of ocean exploring enthusiasts.

We welcome you to enjoy our custom-designed boats for diving, snorkeling and day trip comfort which include shaded seating areas, freshwater showers, deep water boarding ladders, camera rinse bins and marine heads. Our boats are licensed and inspected annually by the BVI Shipping Registry. Our fleet is based out of the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour in the heart of the island of Virgin Gorda. We also offer departures and dive courses at our Scrub Island Resort and Marina location. Our staff are trained in emergency procedures, first aid, oxygen administration and conservation/marine ecology education. They truly love what they do!

We have loads of experience and have shared our BVI Love with the world for over 50 years! If you’ve seen BVI diving on TV, it was probably us! We’ve worked with the Food Network for Alton Brown’s “Feasting on Waves”, Sir Richard Branson and Fox for his “The Rebel Billionaire”, the BBC, Travel Channel and more. Our founder was also on site when they were filming “The Deep” at the RMS Rhone wreck site in 1976!
