Introducing Scuba-Fix, the First DIY BCD Valve Replacement Kit

Background

Scuba-Fix started out as a backyard project by a bunch of passionate divers who also happen to be engineers. What we really wanted to do was to extend the lifespan of our own BCDs when the valves broke. It seemed like a huge waste of investment that we had to throw away the entire BCD because of a part that was designed to fail before anything else. As divers, we constantly remind ourselves to leave as little impact on the dive sites that we visit. It would be ironic that we too contributed to excessive waste by throwing away BCDs that can otherwise be repaired.

About Us

Scuba-Fix is the world’s first BCD (buoyancy compensator device) valve replacement kit. Developed to solve a problem that has bugged the entire industry for years, this product will replace the most vulnerable part of your BCD: the inflator and dump valves.

These valves have a limited life span, and with constant use, general wear and tear, these valves will break between 2-4 years of use.

Once broken, your BCD will have to be discarded, regardless how new, how comfortable, how expensive it is.

We understand that the BCD plays a significant role to your dive comfort, not to mention a significant investment of your dive gear.

Our replacement valve is designed to replace your valve on your BCD.

  1. CNC machined from a single block of DelrinTM for maximum strength
  2. Unique LockRingTM system that provides a second level of safety
  3. Manufactured in Singapore
  4. Independently lab tested by Singapore Testing Body
  5. Do-It-Yourself Kit: Repair it anytime, anywhere

The Way Ahead

The product took the world by storm. We now ship our valves globally with a strong presence in the US and Asia Pacific markets, where diving can be done all year round. Our valves cover a majority of the brands in the market and we offer an amazing 5 year warranty on our product which till date, we have zero claims on, no mean feat for any product retailer. As manufacturing processes evolve, we are constantly on the look out for new innovative methods to produce our valves, without sacrificing the level of safety that many of our consumers have come to trust.
