Introducing Tavish Campbell Coastal Photography

From the decks of expedition sailboats, fishing vessels and research boats, to charter vessels, dive operations, tall ships and kayaks, Tavish Campbell has spent most of his life exploring the coastline of British Columbia above and below water.

Growing up on a remote boat-access-only island gave Tavish an early start on the ocean. Co-captaining his first multi-day sailing trips with his 13 year old twin sister started a lifelong love of being on the sea exploring coastal B.C. as well as foreign waters. Sailing has brought him to ports from Panama to Alaska to Papua New Guinea.

Tavish has worked with Mothership Adventures, Pacific Wild, Salmon Coast Field Station, Maple Leaf Adventures, BC Adventure Tours, Raincoast Conservation Foundation, Georgia Strait Alliance, Polar Latitudes.

A keen naturalist, Tavish’s enthusiasm for watching, learning from and teaching others about the coast’s countless inhabitants shows in everything he does. From isopods to orcas and brittle stars to bears, every species plays an influential role in the web of life and has a story to tell. Bringing these stories to light through underwater videography and photography is a pursuit he feels is incredibly worthwhile and necessary.
