Update On Missing Korean Divers – 2 Found Alive, 1 Still Missing

Two of the three Koreans who were reported missing after a dive near the waters of Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City on Sunday afternoon have been found alive off San Francisco, Camotes island on Tuesday afternoon.

Search and rescue operations were called off after Lapu-Lapu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office received information that Baek Seung Kyoon, 34, and Kim Eun, 31 were found by fishermen.

Thirty-four-year-old diving instructor Baek Seung Kyoon and 31-year-old female diver Kim Eun are confined at the Ricardo L. Maningo Memorial Hospital in San Francisco town, the town’s information officer Gagal Maningo said.

The third Korean diver, 45-year-old Heo Seung Yung, remained missing as of last night.
