Huish Outdoors recalls Oceanic and Hollis Scuba Diving Regulators

On June 30, 2019, Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Huish Outdoors recalled Oceanic and Hollis first stage regulators. The metal regulator attaches to the scuba tank valve and controls the pressure of the air a diver breathes.

The problem is that the diving regulators can restrict airflow at low tank pressures (below 500 psi), and can pose a drowning hazard to divers.

As of June 15, 2018, Huish Outdoors has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to divers in Canada or the United States.

In Canada, 326 units of the affected products were sold and approximately 4470 units were sold in the United States.

These recalled products were sold from October 2017 to June 2018 in Canada and the United States and are manufactured in Taiwan.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled scuba diving regulators and contact a local Oceanic or Hollis dealer for a free repair.

Consumers may contact Huish Outdoors by telephone at 1-888-270-8595 (extension 4) Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. MT.
