The award recognizes Diveheart’s outstanding commitment to enhancing mental health and well-being through its transformative “Divers with Heart” YouTube Series.
The winning video, featured in the “Divers with Heart” series, centers around the inspiring journey of Kristina Jacobsen, a young woman on the autism spectrum. Jacobsen’s story highlights how scuba diving became her sanctuary and how it enabled her to find her community with Diveheart.
In this heartwarming video, Jacobsen and her parents share her remarkable transformation since embracing scuba diving as a way of life. Identifying as a scuba diver and mastering diving skills had a profound impact on Jacobsen, improving her overall well-being and providing her with a sense of purpose and belonging.
