The Kickstarter campaign for the Aktiv Dive Watch reached its goal in less than 25 minutes. The initial goal of $12,121 was quickly surpassed, and the campaign has already raised $50,911 with days yet to go.
LARSEN & ERIKSEN is a Copenhagen-based CO2 neutral design studio created by two long-time friends and design enthusiasts. They have challenged the physics of watch production by marrying the functionality of a tough diving watch with the aesthetics of a minimalist dress watch in this project, which is their first-ever Kickstarter campaign.
In order to build their perspective on the ultimate minimalist everyday watch, they set out to question the way diving watches are generally designed and produced, based on their previous experience. Thus, the AKtiv was born. This watch is waterproof to 660 feet.
