The search resumed this morning for a dead diver reported to have been seen on the seabed off the Devon coast.
Reports of a diver on the seabed off Breakwater beach in Brixham yesterday prompted a massive air and sea search effort.
The police and coastguard rescue helicopter, Torbay’s all weather and inshore lifeboats and police underwater team were called after a 999 report at 12.35pm on Wednesday.
A party of experienced divers told the coastguard they had seen a dead diver on the seabed.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the search would continue through the day but they were not aware of any missing divers.
