59 year old man, Kerry A. Jurica was participating in diving exercises early Sunday afternoon when he was rescued from the water by another diver, according to the Jackson County sheriff’s office. That diver noticed Jurica was having equipment difficulties before becoming unresponsive. He received emergency medical attention at the scene and died at a local medical facility.
This will be the second scuba diving fatality at Wazee Lake Recreational Area near Black River Falls, Wisconsin in the last two weeks.
