One Diver Dead, One Hospitalised at Scapa Flow, Orkney

According to the Orcadian, a tragic incident occurred near Houton on the morning of Friday, October 27, 2023, involving two divers. A concerned report prompted the response of emergency services at approximately 10:35 am that day. The divers were being transported by boat to Houton Pier in Orkney.

One of the divers, a male whose age was 58, was declared deceased at the scene, with his next of kin notified. The cause of his death is currently under investigation and is considered unexplained. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal at a later date.
