Tiger Beach in Grand Bahama

At the northwestern tip of the Bahamian chain, you’ll discover Grand Bahama. Head to West End, then hop on a 27-mile-long boat journey north to the underwater paradise called Tiger Beach. This diving site is a shark lover’s dream. Divers flock to this dive site to experience the place with the top-rated 30-foot dive.

The tiger shark is the showstopper shark you’ll likely see, but that doesn’t mean you can’t spot other shark species. You’ll surround yourself with crystal clear blue water and sandy bottoms. Photographers love this diving area, but if you want a once-in-a-lifetime shark experience, add Tiger Beach to the list.

New Providence Island

You probably know this island by its more popular name, Nassau. It’s the capital island of the Bahamas, and divers can spend weeks exploring the dive sites here. There’s no shortage of shipwrecks, healthy reefs, and walls. You’ll likely run into a local resident, the Caribbean reef shark.

One of the most famous diving sites in New Providence is the Runway Wall. You’ll immerse yourself among reef sharks in their natural habitat. Divers of all certification levels can participate since the dive is only 40 feet.

Current Cut in Eleuthera

Located between Current Island and Grand Eleuthera Island, you’ll find this amazing diving experience. A piece of advice about this dive: wait until the tide comes in if you want the full diving experience. There’s a tight gap between the islands, and the tidal change forces the water through, creating the sensation of a high-speed drift dive. How cool is that?

Without working too hard, you can dive and see the incredible marine life around you. Each time you try this dive will be different. Keep your eyes open wide to fully experience this high-speed underwater roadway.

If you want to know which Caribbean island you should visit for your diving excursion, make it a trip to the Bahamas. As you can see, it’s full of amazing top diving sites. You won’t feel disappointed after a day spent underwater at the above locations.
