DESCRIPTION:The Ice Hole Festival started as a check on a scuba divers bucket list. A diver walked into International Scuba in Carrollton\, Texas. He inquired about scuba diving under ice. Everyone knows there is no ice in Texas. So\, Richard Thomas\, owner of International Scuba\, called his friends in South Dakota\, which is known for its ice. \nMeeting up with Colonel Echols of Land Shark Scuba in Sioux Falls\, they organized the first weekend of ice diving. Locals showed up to watch the crazy Texans willing to risk freezing on a -20F day. It turned out the joke was on them. Everyone had so much fun and bonded while completing an extreme sport that a pact was made to repeat it again next year with the locals. So became the legend of the Ice Hole Festival.

These lifestyle-defining resources provided an invaluable income to many generations before us – inspiring this championship as homage to their legacy! \nFazza Championship for Freediving is an exciting challenge that has elements of conventional Static disciplines from AIDA and CMAS where athletes are trying to hold their breath for maximum time with additional unique rules. Divers have to pull themselves underwater and hold the rope at all times – no wetsuits\, masks\, nose clips allowed! To spice up the challenge even further there are no in water warm-up and a lack of surface protocol requirements. Usually the freediving competition is divided into three categories – the first one caters to professionals while participation in the second and third category is limited to UAE citizens and GCC nationals adults and juniors respectively. \nFreediving UAE certainly played an important role in providing the initial infrastructure necessary to grow the freediving sport community here in the UAE. When the Fazza Freediving Championship began\, Freediving UAE offered their full support in establishing safety and rescue procedures to help administer a successful first events. \nFreediving fans had to wait an extra year for the Fazza Freediving Championship\, as the 2022 edition was cancelled\, but now have something to look forward to – the dates for Freediving 2023 have been announced! Taking place from the 6th until the 12th of March 2023\, this long-awaited event most probably will follow the formula of previous years’ championships with a few days dedicated to training and qualifying rounds before the finals on the last day. \nThe Fazza Championship for Freediving is always an exciting event\, based on recent years results 2023 edition looks especially achievable to new participants. So this competition promises to be a thrilling experience\, with exciting prizes at stake.

There will be skilled instructors can show you how a diver uses sign language. \nAt the Swedish Dive Show\, there will be clubs\, museums\, institutions\, associations\, historians\, and many others. DESCRIPTION:Join the History of Diving Museum\, dive historians\, and NAUI for this year’s Vintage Dive Weekend\, Saturday and Sunday\, April 1-2\, 2023\, 10am-4pm! Enjoy the day learning about vintage diving techniques with above water demonstrations and below water experiences. Certified divers can embark on an underwater tour in the lagoon around the facility\, using a double-hose regulator as seen in Sea Hunt and Jacques Cousteau’s Silent World. The weekend offers plenty of activities for all ages at Jules’ Undersea Lodge\, 51 Shoreland Dr.\, Key Largo\, FL 33037. \nEach day will showcase diving demonstrations with various hardhat helmets\, including a Mark V and Miller-Dunn\, plenty of photo ops\, food by M.E.A.T. Eatery\, art activities\, and games for those in attendance. Spectator admission is $15. Underwater Diving Experience is $75 per person\, with each attendee receiving a free pass to the History of Diving Museum in Islamorada. \nCertified divers need to pre-register for the Sea Hunt-style dive experience\, featuring an underwater tour in the lagoon around Jules’ Undersea Lodge using a “classic” double-hose regulator. Participants will also have the opportunity to enter the moon pool and meet Dr. Deep Sea\, Joe Dituri\, who is on a 100-day mission in the underwater habitat. \nThis unique diving experience is $75 per person and includes gear orientation\, dive\, underwater photo op\, and a free pass to HDM.
