For the Love of Sharks 2020
September 25 @ 19:00 - 20:30
Join The Shark Trust for an evening of shark celebration and discovery on September 25, 2020.
Shark Trust initially decided to hold the event at London’s Royal Geographical Society. But they decided to run this event digitally because of COVID-19, and the changing rules and advices. We hope that you will join us for a more rare Shark party and discovery evening.
Sharks are among the most distinctive and spectacular predators in our oceans. About 1000 shark and ray species share the rich ocean ecosystems. Epic journeys can involve encountering the most spectacular species in the world. Or just a ride to the Coast of the UK.
We’re excited to announce that the following guest speakers will join us:
Paul Rose (TV Presenter & Radio Broadcaster) – Paul is an explorer on the frontline with sharks. One of the most experienced divers, field scientists and specialists in polar matters in the world. Paul helps scientists discover and communicate environmental mysteries in the planet’s remotest and most difficult areas.
Nick & Caroline Robertson-Brown (Frogfish Photography) – Nick and Caroline are underwater artists, photo-journalists and the husband and wife writing team. They are multi-award winning photographers, have 3 books written, and are regularly feature in the diving, wildlife and international press.
The speakers will fill the evening with their discovery storeys and connections, as well as their love of this fascinating marine animal family.
You’ll also have the chance to hear more about the Shark Trust this year and what we are doing.
