Author The Red Sea Project

We bring individuals from all walks of life together with a world-class education system to work for the good of the Red Sea. The Red Sea Project continues to grow rapidly, with participation from members of the general public we call "citizen scientists," to corporate Scuba Divers, Local Communities, educators and students; all contributing their knowledge, passion and experience to support our work to improve scientific awareness and inspire change across all touchpoints in their lives. Our long term goal is to support the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. SDG goals are at the core of the Red Sea Project, and we are dedicated to supporting these targets through both our direct involvement and our partnerships. We have defined our most significant impacts with regard to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We have integrated the SDGs into our agenda. In September 2015, the United Nations launched the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as a framework for shared action for all countries, companies, NGOs and other stakeholders. The Agenda includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which set out a global development agenda for 2030, with objectives for social, economic and environmental dimensions. As part of our commitment to the Agenda 2030 and the SDGs, we have identified the most relevant goals for us, and examined our impacts on them.
