Marine Litter MOOC Now Available

Open University have launched a new Marine Litter MOOC, or Massive Open Online Course. Starting in May 2017, this course seeks to encourage people to take action to address the global problem of marine litter.

Students will learn to use successful and inspiring pollution prevention activities in their own communities, regardless of their professional background. Different tools and strategies will be investigated, alongside case studies, and the course will include interactions with stakeholder groups.

The course aims to ‘inspire leadership at all levels… stimulating creative solutions to marine litter problems. Moreover, this course will benefit policymakers, practitioners, and managers who wish to connect with other professionals to enhance their knowledge of marine litter issues.’

The MOOC is available in two parts; a leadership track and an expert track. The leadership track will commence on 22nd May 2017.
