Diver Airlifted To Hospital in Holyhead

It is being reported that a diver was flown to hospital over the weekend following an incident at Newry Beach, Holyhead.

The individual was pulled from the water off the Anglesey coast at around 2pm on Saturday. The alarm was raised and first aid was administered until the air ambulance arrived and transported the victim to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

Following mouth-to-mouth resuscitation the man was breathing and fully conscious when he was transferred, according to the North Wales Ambulance Service.
