The Environmental Business Hero of the Year award for 2020 (city of Kawartha Lakes) was given to Dive Kawartha, based in Lindsay, Ontario. For some time, The Scuba News Canada and Dive Kawartha have been friends, and we are delighted that they have received this award.

We are both honoured and humbled to have been recognized, especially for something that is so dear to our heart. We are very proud of the community of divers that make up Dive Kawartha; you all are the real hero’s behind our conservation efforts. We are equally proud that the City of Kawartha Lakes has a recognition program for businesses and individuals that are working hard for conservation in our communities. I wasn’t aware of the award prior to receiving it, but seeing the CoKL support efforts for environmental awareness and action is amazing.”
