Fantastic news in the fight to ban shark fin imports into the UK. We provided details earlier this week of a petition which required 100,000 signatures before 11th September 2020.

Reaching the target would mean the opening of parliamentary debate on the subject and we are pleased to announce that the target has been reached and breached! At the time of writing, the petition had acquired 109,356 signatures (and counting).
Anything that brings us closer to a complete ban on shark finning and shark fin importation worldwide is a step in the right direction!
