The Ugly Journey of Our Trash by Project AWARE

From everyday trash like plastic bags, food wrappers and drink bottles, to larger items like car batteries, kitchen appliances and fishing nets, our debris is entering the sea at an alarming rate. Our ocean has become a dumping ground.

On World Oceans Day, June 8, Project AWARE launched a new animated video to highlight how the ugly journey of our trash endangers marine ecosystems and wildlife along the way, and show how divers can help contribute to solutions to the marine debris issue.
